My Two Research Questions:

What are the steps to obtain my degree as a sports docotor?

What are the daily duties as a sports doctor?

My Articles:

Article 1: Title of Article
Summary Article: what is it about? What is being said?
Relevance of the article to me: Why is it important? what is important?
Bibliography info: author, date, source (search engine)

Article 2:Sports medicine. columbia Electronic Encyclopedia, 6th Edition, 10/1/2011
In this article it gives a clear definition of what the career is.  This article is a important one because it really makes it clear what i would run into as a sports doctor. One of the most important things in this article is where it states that it is a rapidly growing field.
Bibliography Info: Columbia Electronic Encyclopedia, 6th Edition, 10/1/2011, EBSCO host

Article 3: C. Harmon Brown,78, Pioneer Sports Doctor
In this article it talks about one of the few pioneers of this field and what he had to offer in his career.  C. Harmon Brown studied how the female body was affected by strenuous excercise.  He was a person thatwas well involved in the athletic world even a member that set standards for doping of athletes.  He was also a trainer for many womens teams even a coach for some as well.
The article shows the reader exactly what a great future the career can hold for one who excells in this field.  It is inspiring to me to read of ones accomplishments because my native competitive gene comes out and makes me want to do the best I can.
Bibliography info: Martin, Douglas, New York Times,11/15/2008, EBSCOhost

Article 4: Muscle Injuries Rattle An Oregon School
The article states how common this injury is in athletes that have had an extended break resume with an intense workout.  In the article it specifies one schools situation with its football team who started a new season and had 12 players all be admitted in the hospital at the same time with 2 requiring surgery.  In the end all were released to go back to football some later then sooner.
This article is very important to know as a sports doctor because it seems to be a growing problem among young athletes.  I know that it is something i will remember because it is something i would like to avoid my self as well.
