Interlopers
First i must say this short story was very insightful. The fact that these people disliked each other for a reason that was lost years before they were even born is so ridiculous. I liked the ending, and i disliked the ending. I liked that it was so unexpected and that they kind of got what was coming to them. Also I disliked it because they just put that stuff behind them and now they might not survive. I also disliked that it ended before you found out if the wolves actually ended their lives or if they get saved. I appreciate the message that is being portrayed. The moral of the story for me is that life is to short to be cynical or prejudice against people because of an idea.
Lamb to the slaughter
I like the fact that this short story kept certain details up to the imagination. The best part of this piece for me was when the writer just cut the whole reason for the talk up to the reader. He could of cheated on her, or he could of just fell out of love with her. The only thing i disliked about it was how short it was i actually enjoyed following the plot it kept me interested up till the end when she fed the weapon of choice to the very detectives investigating the murder. I can appreciate how ironic the story is, its very intelligent. The way she knew to create an alibi before she could mourn was very intriguing.

My Career Research
The two careers that my research has lead me to are, Sports doctor (M.D.) and, Cultural Anthropologist. With both of these careers being something that I have had great interest in for some time now.

How I Get There
Over the next 12 months I have lots of hard work ahead of me. In the next year I am gonna be doing as much research on my two careers as possible to decide if this is the path I really want to go down. But as I stated in the post "Who am I" I have the interest to accomplish this goal as well as the personnel drive to accomplish it. Here are the main steps to achieving my goal as a sports doctor.
- Undergrad- (Pre-Med.)
- Internships
- Med. School
- Residency
- Fellowship
The necessary steps to take for an anthropologist would also depend on what field of anthropology you would want to study. I have found that I am interested in most choices so at this point i am unsure what my narrowed field of study would be. Th anthropology degree could get you many careers after you graduate. here are the steps to take for anthropology.
- Anthropology (Undergraduate)
- Internships usually at a museum
- for a specialized skill in a narrowed field now you would go to graduate school
Who am I
I have been a studying musician for 10 years now. I purchased my first drum set when i was 14 years old with money i saved from a summer job, then purchased my current drum kit when i was 17. I taught my self the basics of bass guitar and have been playing for at least 3 years. I am passionate about music it has been something that I can escape into when the world becomes to real. I am extremely fond of outdoor activities such as hiking mountain biking, fishing, and many more. One of my other great passions in this world are diet and exercise. I started working out at a gym 5 years ago and quickly fell in love with it. I soon became intrigued by the science of it and how to prevent injuries. I was injured twice in my life playing sports and i want the chance to help others like me. I love to travel as well one of the things I find most fascinating is the central and south American regions it is one of the most beautiful areas on the globe. I have traveled down to Mexico and the Caribbean on several occasions to see some of the ancient and natural wonders of the area. With broader horizons approaching i decided to expand my travels onward I applied for a one year holiday visa to Melbourne Australia and purchased a plane ticket then left with no plans and no worries in mind. I am some what of a spontaneous person who likes to just do something on the spur of a moment. I've acquired knowledge in my travels from meeting new people from around the world. I also have put my self in a completely foreign environment to see what its like to live outside of my comfort zone and found it was a valuable experience.
I am well rounded in experience as I have held many jobs because of interest in many things not lack there of. One thing I have been taught from a young age was work ethic. I have never given up on something before I have given it my best shot. One thing I am very good with is assuming the leadership role. Anywhere I have worked I have naturally accepted the role as leader to organize my fellow co workers to accomplish all tasks at hand. One of my weak points would be my math skills but with practice i hope to improve on those.
The main reason for choosing my career as a sports doctor is to help others with sports related injuries. I don't want to stop at just helping the injured but preventing it as well and working closely with athletes to inform them on proper training methods. I love learning and that's also why I chose anthropology as my other major of interest. With both these majors I can do research on topics that interest me and that are also very beneficial to others.
Strengths and Weaknesses
My strengths in my academic career will be in my writing and my research. I have discovered that writing is one of my strongest skills I have coming into my college career. I have developed a liking for research as well I really like the thrill of looking for the answers. With history and ancient civilizations being a big interest to me I could also say that history would be one of my stronger subjects. I can also say that my reading and study skills are up to par and can only get better with all the practice I will have ahead of me. Another good attribute is that I have a strong drive to finish something once I begin. I am not a bad student and I take my education very seriously, I consider myself lucky to even have the opportunity for higher education.
My biggest weakness is definitely my math skills. I am very behind on my practice, using any higher level math skills, but I do feel confident in getting better. Math was always a weaker side of my academic skills but I have found a method that works better for me as a student now. Another one of my weakness's is that I have trouble managing my time efficiently. With classes only expected to get harder as my education goes forward I am ready to improve on my weakness's so that I can achieve my goals as easily as possible.
I have started working on a math program online that has unlimited amounts of practice for you to use with many different types of math. This program is called Hawkes Learning, it is the program we were asked to use by our math 020 professors. I have started using my math book for homework so I can learn by writing it out, then practicing on the computer for additional practice. With the first semester coming to an end I am starting to adjust. With stronger dedication and perseverance I should be able to manage my time more efficiently.

My Introductory post
In my project I have decided to explore careers in sports med. also anthropology. These two careers have been something I have thought about for a few years now and finally have decided to achieve those goals. Both of these two fields of study are areas that personally interest me greatly.
In "My Inventories Summary", I had noticed that I was interested in lots of hands on careers. I agree that I like to work with my hands but some of the careers that fell in my interests I would have to disagree with. I would love nothing more then to be a sports doctor not a manufacturing worker. I have worked in manufacturing at a plant and I have decided I never want to go back to that environment.
Most of my interests that fall on my inventory tie in with both my majors one way or another. Both of my majors require me to be hands on and dedicated as well as all my other interest on my inventory. With all my research and interests at hand I know the direction I am heading in, therefore I am ready for the challenges that lie ahead.
